Friedlander joined CBS from Warner Independent Pictures (WIP), where he served as Executive Vice President of Distribution. At WIP, he shepherded distribution plans for titles such as “March of the Penguins” and “Good Night, and Good Luck.”
Prior to joining WIP, Friedlander was the Executive Vice President at Fine Line Features, where he spearheaded theatrical distribution. From 1989 to 1996, he rose through distribution at New Line Cinema becoming Senior Vice President. Friedlander began his career at 20th Century Fox in 1984.
