Scott Shooman
Executive Vice President, Acquisitions and Co-Productions

Shooman has overseen the production and completion of films such as “Love The Coopers,” “The Woman In Black” and “Seven Psychopaths.” In his tenure there, he has also acquired films such as “Inside Llewyn Davis,” “What If,” “The Kings Of Summer,” “Salmon Fishing In The Yemen,” “The Words,” and “Afflicted.” Prior to his time at CBS Films, Scott rose through the ranks at Sony Pictures Entertainment over the course of a decade. Starting off there in 2000 as an executive assistant, he first worked for Screen Gems and Sony Home Entertainment on such titles as “The Squid and the Whale,” “Super Size Me,” “Stomp The Yard” and “The Gospel,” before moving on to the newly formed Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group in 2006. At SPWAG, Scott was behind the acquisition and/or production of films such as “We Own The Night,” “The Fall,” “Harry Brown,” “The Boondock Saints II,” “The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus,” “Attack The Block” and “Insidious,” to name a few domestic titles of note. He was also instrumental in the international acquisition of films such as “Book of Eli,” “Machete,” “Hanna,” and “The Men Who Stare at Goats.”

Scott graduated in 2000 from USC’s School of Cinema Television with a bachelor’s degree in critical studies. In 2013, he received his MBA from USC’s Marshall School of Business.
